Summary of Studies

The summaries of studies are documents prepared by the applicant, in this case the Glyphosate Renewal Group (GRG), to help navigate and process the tremendous amount of data included in all the human and environmental safety studies.

Depending on the type of the study, a report can contain several hundreds of pages. Next to detailed information on the test setup, test execution and results, the report also includes documents relevant to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), equations and explanations from guidelines, software outputs, method validation reports, certificates and data tables.

These summaries are submitted to the competent EU and national authorities to enable their independent safety assessment of glyphosate per se and of glyphosate as active substance of a representative plant protection product.

While the summaries of studies are also available on the website of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), we want to offer an easier access to those documents.

Here you can find the summaries of the studies that formed part of the scientific dossier on the safety of glyphosate submitted to the competent authorities in 2012. The GRG will, via this page, provide access to the summaries of the studies that are part of the glyphosate dossier to be submitted in June 2020. Please visit us again after the dossier submission in summer 2020.

By giving access to the 2012 and 2020 dossiers, including timely publication of the list of new studies commissioned and correspondence with the authorities, the Glyphosate Renewal Group sends a strong signal on the robustness of its transparency commitment.
