Summary of the studies
Study summaries are documents prepared by the applicant, in this case the Glyphosate Renewal Group (GRG), to help navigate and process the huge amount of data included in all human and environmental safety studies.
Depending on the type of study, a report can contain several hundred pages. In addition to detailed information on test setup, test execution and results, the report also includes Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) documents, equations and explanations from guidelines, software output, method validation reports, certificates and data tables.
These summaries are submitted to EU and national competent authorities to enable their independent assessment of the safety of glyphosate itself and of glyphosate as the active substance of a representative plant protection product.
Although the study summaries are also available on the website of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), we want to offer easy access to these documents.
Here you can find the summaries of the studies that were part of the scientific dossier on the safety of glyphosate presented to the competent authorities in 2012. The GRG, through this page, gives access to the summaries of the studies that are part of the glyphosate dossier presented in June 2020.
By giving access to the 2012 and 2020 dossiers, including the timely publication of the list of new commissioned studies and correspondence with the authorities, the Glyphosate Renewal Group sends a strong signal on the strength of its commitment to transparency.
